You Do the Research, NIH Repays Your Student Loans – Apply by November 17

If you’re going to be conducting research for the next two years, why not have your student debt taken care of while you work? In exchange for a commitment to conduct biomedical or behavioral research, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) will repay up to $100,000 of student loan debt with a two-year contract through the NIH Loan Repayment Programs (LRPs).

NIH Natural Disaster Policy Reminder: Hurricanes Fiona and Ian

NIH is deeply concerned for the health and safety of people and animals, and about the biomedical enterprise in the areas affected by Hurricanes Fiona and Ian. Due to the exceptional impact of these storms, NIH has issued a notice identifying policy exceptions for impacted organizations to provide short-term relief from select administrative, financial management, and audit requirements.

Reminder: Annual Reports to the Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare Due December 1, 2022

The Public Health Service Policy on Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals requires Assured institutions to submit a written report to the NIH Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare at least once every 12 months. Recipient institutions with an Animal Welfare Assurance must submit their Annual Reports to the NIH Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare by December 1, 2022.
