NIH-Wide Strategic Plan for COVID-19 Research Now Available

The NIH-Wide COVID-19 Strategic Plan, released on July 13, 2020, provides a framework describing how NIH is accelerating the development of therapeutic interventions, vaccines, and diagnostics in response to the SARS-CoV-2 global pandemic. It describes how NIH is rapidly mobilizing the biomedical research community, such as through establishing new programs that leverage existing resources, to lead a swift, coordinated research response.

Inclusion Reporting and FORMS-F

Consistent with the Inclusion Across the Lifespan policy, recipients are now required to submit participant-level data on sex/gender, race, ethnicity, and age at enrollment in progress reports. This applies to applications submitted for due dates January 25, 2019 or later. Requirement for Electronic Submission of All Administrative Supplements

We just announced three important updates to our administrative supplement submission policies: effective immediately, NIH will begin accepting administrative supplement applications for multi-project awards electronically; and effective July 25, 2020, all supplement applications to existing single and multi-project awards must be submitted electronically and the streamlined submission method through the eRA Commons will be discontinued and replaced.
