The ability to submit preliminary data as post-submission materials for applications submitted for the January 2021 council (NOT-OD-20-123) has been extended to apply to the May 2021 council (NOT-OD-20-163). This is a temporary flexibility due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
A few items to note:
- Preliminary data update is limited to one-page for a single component application or one page for each component of a multi-component application
- The FOA must allow preliminary data.
- The deadline for submitting all post-submission materials, including preliminary data, will be 30 days before the study section meeting (unless specified otherwise in the FOA).
Emergency competitive revisions and urgent competitive revisions, since they are undergoing expedited reviews, do not allow any type of post-submission materials.
