Use the Federal Financial Report in February

Posted

The Federal Financial Report (FFR or SF 425) replaces the Financial Status Report (FSR or SF-269/SF-269A) and the Federal Cash Transaction Report (FCTR or SF-272/SF-272A). This federal-wide report standardizes financial reporting across the government. Grantees have been required to report the cash transaction data portion of the FFR via the Payment Management System since January 1, 2010, and will continue to report FFR cash transaction data to PMS. NIH is implementing the reporting of the expenditure data elements of the FFR, through the eRA Commons FFR/FSR module starting on February 1, 2011. Reporting of the expenditure data portion of the FFR replaces the FSR.

The due date for submitting expenditure data on the annual FFR is 90 days after the end of the calendar quarter in which the budget period ends. Note that this is a change in due dates of annual expenditure data and may provide up to 60 additional days to report. The due date for submitting expenditure data on the final FFR is unchanged and remains 90 days after the end of the project period. For more details, see Guide Notice NOT-OD-11-017and stay tuned for a user guide for the new FFR eRA Commons system coming soon.
