Are you new to working with the NIH application and award process and want to learn more? Do you want to hear the latest updates on the NIH grants policy and processes? Then the wait is over! Registration is now open for the 2015 NIH Regional Seminar on Program Funding & Grants Administration taking place in Baltimore, Maryland, May 6-8.

Join more than 45 NIH and HHS experts and ~600 of your peers from across the U.S. and the globe. This seminar offers a valuable opportunity for administrators, new and early stage investigators, graduate students & postdocs, grant writers, and anyone new to the NIH grants process.

Two-Day Seminar: Thursday-Friday, May 7-8

Over the course of two days, attendees will have the opportunity to attend any of the multiple concurrent sessions offered between 3 tracks: administrators, investigators, and all interests. Topics are offered on a wide range of subjects, such as fundamentals of the NIH grants process, grant writing, budget basics, pre-award and post-award issues, public access, compliance, mapping your career with NIH, NIH policy updates, and more.  There are also special interest sessions for the SBIR/STTR program, Loan Repayment Program, AREA (R15), contracts, animal and human subject research policies, and research integrity, just to name a few.

During the two-day seminar, you’ll also be able to visit further with NIH experts at the SBIR, eRA, and Grants Policy booths. But that’s not all!  There will also be additional grants management, program and review officials from various NIH Institutes and Centers on hand to personally meet with seminar participants during the “1:1 Meet the Experts.”

If that’s not enough for you, there’s even more opportunities on the day prior to the seminar.

Optional Pre-Seminar Workshops: Wednesday, May 6

  • Administrator’s Boot Camp: Getting Started with NIH
  • eRA Workshop: Grant Application Preparation & Submission
  • eRA Workshop: eRA Commons Account Administration & Post-Submission Processing
  • Workshop on Human Research Protections

Visit the 2015 NIH Regional Seminar website for Baltimore to find agendas and descriptions for the two-day seminar and pre-seminar optional workshops, as well as registration information.

Can’t make these dates? We are working plans for a second seminar later this summer or early fall in the western U.S.  Once plans are finalized, an announcement will be made in the NIH Guide to Grants and Contracts and on the NIH Regional Seminar Home Page.

Space is limited, so register now and take advantage of the early registration rates as well.
