Fall 2018 NIH Regional Seminar Heads to the “City by the Bay” – San Francisco, CA

Posted

In just a few months, approximately 65 NIH & HHS grants process and policy experts will be bringing their expertise to the San Francisco Bay area for the NIH Regional Seminar on Program Funding and Grants Administration.  Plan to meet, share, and learn with us over the course of 2-3 days, October 17-19, 2018!

Meet… This is the first time the NIH Regional Seminar has been offered in San Francisco and our experts are ready to meet you there!  If you or someone in your lab or office is relatively new to the NIH grants process and would like to learn more about applying, managing an award, finding resources, and knowing who to contact, then make plans to attend today!  (It is our final seminar for 2018 and though space is still available, it is expected to reach capacity prior to the event.)

Share…Don’t miss one of these valuable opportunities to interact with about 65 NIH and HHS experts! They’re awaiting the opportunity to share information about the NIH grants process with you, including their experiences working with applicants on the application process, navigating the peer review process, and managing an award. This is also your opportunity to join over 650 fellow researchers, administrators, grant writers, postdocs, and students from around the world to hear the latest grants policy and process information first-hand.

Learn…Two full days of sessions, networking opportunities, and valuable expertise will provide ample chances to learn from NIH and HHS experts, as well as from the experiences of other attendees. In addition, don’t miss out on the optional pre-seminar workshops that are available for a more in-depth look at important topic areas.  These include electronic Research Administration, human subject protections, intellectual property, and a boot camp for administrators.

  1. I am from Madagascar. If I want to attend this Seminar, are travel and accomodations funded? Thank you.

    1. Unfortunately, NIH does not provide funds to attend the NIH Regional Seminars. Please note that pre-docs, post-docs, and grad students are eligible to receive a $50 discount on registration though, with proof of trainee status.
