Which Training Tables Should I Use for My Upcoming Institutional Research Training Grant Application?

Posted

Selecting the correct training tables is dependent on the due date to which you plan to apply. In November 2015, NIH posted two new sets of training tables.

  1. Data tables for applications to due dates before May 25, 2016
  • These tables are virtually the same as the data tables used over the last several years with the following minor updates:
    • Removed “PMC ID” from the Publication column header in Table 6A and 6B since the collection of this information is no longer needed at time of application, and will be requested just-in-time, instead (see SF424 Application Guide, Section 8.7)
    • Updated expiration date
  • If you are just starting your data tables for due dates before May 25, 2016 use this version. Otherwise, the previous version is fine. We will accept both.
  1. Data tables for applications to due dates on or after May 25, 2016 (NOT-OD-16-007)
  • This version of data tables includes the following significant changes:
    • Reduced the number of tables from 12 to 8
    • Minimized the reporting of individual-level information
    • Extended the tracking of trainee outcomes from 10 to 15 years
    • Updated Expiration Date
  • You must use this version of the data tables for due dates on/after May 25, 2016. You must not use them for earlier due dates.
