Automated Email Seeking Just-in-Time Information to Be Retired October 1

Posted

An automated email from eRA for Just-in-Time information, sent for applications with an overall impact score of 30 or less, will be retired on October 1, 2024 (see NIH Guide Notice NOT-OD-24-165 and sample email notification).

This email does not reflect an NIH Institute or Center’s (IC’s) intent to fund an application and could be misconstrued by applicants as a sign that their application will be awarded.

The official email notification will continue to be sent by the grants management staff from the awarding IC directly to the principal investigator (PI) of the application and the signing officials (SO) associated with the organization.

Just-in-Time information is time-sensitive information requested when the application has finished review and is being considered for an award. Examples are Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee’s (IACUC) approval of the proposed use of live vertebrate animals, Institutional Review Board’s (IRB’s) approval of the use of human subjects, and more.

The Just-in-Time link to submit the materials, when requested, will also continue to be available in eRA Commons until the application is awarded.
