NIH is deeply concerned for the health and safety of people and animals, and about the biomedical enterprise in the areas affected by Hurricanes Fiona and Ian. Due to the exceptional impact of these storms, NIH has issued a notice identifying policy exceptions for impacted organizations to provide short-term relief from select administrative, financial management, and audit requirements. The notice outlines flexibilities with application deadlines, extension of reporting requirements, prior approval requirement waivers, and more.
