Reminder: xTRACT Use Required in FY 2020

Posted

Beginning with RPPRs due on or after October 1, 2019 (FY 2020), recipients must use the xTRACT system to create the required training tables for submission with NIH and AHRQ T15, T32, T90/R90, and TL1 progress reports. While it is not mandatory to use xTRACT for new and renewal applications for the specified types of training grants, it may be required in future years.

Check out our resources on xTRACT such as the user guide, instructional videos, and FAQs, available on the eRA website. For more details on its required use and implementation, see the full Guide Notice.

  1. The xTract training tables for my T32 training grant only list the names of the trainees with no info on education, support, current and future positions. All of this info is in the Tables that I have created and maintained over the years and used for the T32 RPPRs. What is the point of making me enter all of data into the xTract system? Can I request a waiver for this requirement for my T32 RPPR that is due Nov. 1?

  2. The link in xTRACT for instructions on how to convert an Excel table to the format for bulk uploading is broken. Where else can I find those instructions? The sample table provided is missing several of the columns contained in Tables 8A and 8C.
