Consider starting off your NIH Regional Seminar experience on the first day by attending optional pre-seminar workshops for an in-depth look at topics, including intellectual property and iEdison, electronic Research Administration (eRA), research administrator boot camp or a workshop on human research protections.

During the two-day seminar that follows, three tracks of concurrent sessions are offered for research administrators, investigators, and all interests. You have the choice to stay in one track or customize your experience as you move between tracks based on the topics of interest. Over 45 different topics to choose from too!

  • Administrators’ Track – provides sessions that cover the latest grants policies and processes including topics like budgets, compliance, post award expectations, and more
  • Investigators’ Track – offers step-by-step guide to navigating NIH programs to advance your career, finding funding opportunities, grant writing, peer review, and more.
  • All Interest Track – includes a variety of special topic sessions, including: scientific rigor and reproducibility, NIH’s public access policy, research integrity, clinical trials, animals in research, and so much more!

Hotel rooms at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill are available at a reduced rate…but are filling fast. In addition, graduate students and postdocs can take advantage of a special $50 trainee discount throughout the registration period, as long as space is available. (Trainees include predocs, postdocs, and grad students.)
