A New NIH Grants and Funding Website Is Coming Soon!

screenshots of old and new oer websiteGet ready! We are in the process of transforming grants.nih.gov, NIH’s central resource for grants and funding information, to help you find the information you need more easily. Using input from user surveys, usability reviews, and discussions with people like you, we are reducing clutter, providing more context, and dramatically simplifying our pages.

We don’t have time before our March 25, 2016 release date to revamp the content on all our pages, but you will find that we have reworked the home page, as well as information on how to apply, the forms page, the landing pages for the tabs, and more. We will continue to work on additional pages in the months after launch, so your feedback on how we are doing will be critical to make sure that our changes are improving your experience.

  1. This will certainly be welcome. Making it easier to find the most recent forms and templates and revamped instructions should help reduce the time it takes to find what you need and be sure that it is the most up-to-date information. This will be especially helpful for those who are new to the grant application process. Too many times we click on link after link trying to get to what we need, only to find that we go around in circles. Hopefully these changes will eliminate a lot of that.
