Posted

Get ready for the 2011 NIH Regional Seminars on Program Funding and Grants Administration! The first of two annual seminars will take place on Thursday and Friday, April 28-29 in Scottsdale, Arizona with optional eRA computer workshops held on Wednesday, April 27. Watch for registration to open mid-December, but in the meantime, check the Save the Date page for more details.

New this year will be:

  • a stronger focus on mapping your research career using NIH support,
  • an opportunity to learn about the nuances of the AREA/R15 program,
  • and additional sessions on developing a career development application and budget issues.

No other seminar offers the magnitude of connections to NIH, as well as practical grants application and program funding solutions than this one. Whether it’s hearing important updates to grant policies, receiving guidance on finding the right funding opportunity and submitting an application, learning about loan repayment options, gaining insight on human and animal welfare in scientific research, viewing how NIH electronic resources and tools can be used most effectively, or obtaining best practice insights from NIH program officials, the NIH Regional Seminar brings it all together in one place. This is your hub of unlimited opportunity to learn, network, and discover your own path to successful funding. Don’t miss a chance to engage with staff from the NIH.

If April isn’t the best time for you, the NIH Regional Seminar Web page also offers information on the second, and last 2011 seminar, June 23-24 in Weston, Florida (Ft. Lauderdale area).
