Reminder: Keep CCR Registration Current

Posted

Did you know that institutions must update their Central Contractor Registry (CCR) information at least every 12 months for the registration to remain active? Earlier this month, Grants.gov began to reject grant application submissions from applicants with expired CCR registrations. Although active CCR registration at the time of application submission is not a new Grants.gov or NIH requirement, this systematic enforcement will likely catch some applicants off guard. According to the CCR website, it can take 24 hours or more for updates to take effect, so double-check that your CCR registration is active well before your grant deadline. Registration issues, including expired CCR registration, are not acceptable reasons for submitting a late grant application.

The CCR website provides user guides, renewal screen shots, frequently asked questions and other resources you may find helpful.
