OER Welcomes Dr. Rick Ikeda

Dr. Rick Ikeda joins OER as Director of the Office of Research Information Systems (ORIS). Most recently, Dr. Ikeda served as the Director of the Divison of Information Services and the Acting Program Manager of the Research, Condition and Disease Categorization (RCDC) Program within OER. Dr. Ikeda began his NIH career in 1999 as a program director at the National Institute of General Medical Sciences, with a portfolio of research in the fields of enzymology and wound healing. Before coming to NIH, Dr. Ikeda established a research program at the Georgia Institute of Technology, which focused on the structure and function of DNA and RNA polymerases. Dr. Ikeda received his Ph.D. in Chemistry in 1984 from the California Institute of Technology.
