In May, NIH published of a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking that proposes changes to the financial conflict of interest regulations governing Public Health Service-funded research (which includes NIH-funded research). The period to provide comments on the proposed regulations has been extended until August 19 (NOT-OD-10-113). We are seeking additional comments on whether the proposed enforcement authorities should be further revised and clarified. Additionally, we would like to hear your opinion regarding circumstances in which an investigator or project transfers from one institution to another.
