Animals in Research Seminar Series for Institutional Officials and IACUC Staff

The Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW) will be conducting two on-line seminar series. These seminars will deliver information in a streamlined format, directly to your office without the expense, inconvenience, and time commitment of travel. Preregistration is required.

  • OLAW IO Outreach – A series to help Institutional Officials (IOs) explore their responsibilities in the oversight of PHS-funded research that involves the use of live vertebrate animals. The meetings will provide information tailored exclusively for IOs at PHS-Assured institutions. There is no cost to participate in the seminar series.   • OLAW IACUC Staff Outreach – A series to help Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) staff explore their responsibilities in the oversight of PHS-funded research that involves the use of live vertebrate animals. The series will provide information tailored exclusively for IACUC staff at PHS-Assured institutions. Registration information is at http://grants.nih.gov/grants/olaw/e-seminars.htm.

Each on-line meeting will include a 20-minute presentation and 30 minutes of questions. The next seminars are scheduled for June 12, 2008.
